Description

The INS Standards focuses on the comprehensive nature of infusion therapy, including care delivery, eliminating complications, promoting vein preservation, and ensuring patient satisfaction. In continuing their commitment to revising the Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice every 3 years, INS has released it the latest edition. In this webinar, one of the lead authors will discuss the methodology behind the development of the 2024 Standards. Three new Standards will be explored with a focus on application to clinical practice within the healthcare organization. Research findings supporting selected Practice Recommendations within the INS Standards will be highlighted.

 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
 

  1. Summarize the methodology used to develop the 2024 INS Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice.

  2. Evaluate new and changed recommendations within the Standards.

  3. Summarize selected research findings supporting new Practice Recommendations within the Standards.
